SSDBM Demo Guidelines
Greetings, SSDBM 2011 Demo Presenters! We are very much looking forward to your coming to Portland and to an exciting conference! This page gives you some details about what to expect at the conference, in order to prepare your presentation:
Most of you have said you will have some kind of poster. Please see Poster Guidelines for information on posters (size, setup, take-down).
Authors should set up for demo’s between 8 and 8:30 Thursday morning. All demos will be held in the Wahkeena Falls Room near the entrance. We will assign locations in that room for your demo. The registration desk can tell you where that location is.
We will supply you with a 6 ft-by-2 ft table, two chairs, powerstrip, and monitor, and easel. YOU WILL HAVE TO BRING YOUR OWN LAPTOP ON WHICH TO GIVE THE DEMO. Internet connection will be wireless.
You are expected to arrange that someone to be at your demo table to explain the work during the entire demo/poster session. Please do not use audio equipment but you are welcome to bring along handouts associated with your presentation.
Please let us know if you have any questions prior to getting to Portland!
