SSDBM Poster Guidelines (Set up and Take Down)
Greetings, SSDBM 2011 Poster Presenters! We are very much looking forward to your coming to Portland and to an exciting conference! This page gives you some details about what to expect at the conference, in order to prepare your presentation:
Dimensions: Presenters should design posters to be no larger than 1.2 m wide x 1 m tall (4ft wide x 3ft tall). Poster-boards will be approx 4 ft wide x 3 ft tall.
Authors should set posters on easels between 8 and 8:30 Thursday morning. All posters will be held in Wahkeena Falls Room (where Breaks are), along the walls. We will assign specific locations within that room for your posters. The registration desk can tell you where that location is and where the easels are.
We will supply you with an easel and poster-board, push pins to attach your poster to the poster-board. Please do not attach anything to the walls. You will also have a 3 ft. round table at your station. Two chairs can be available at your location, but you will need to tell the registration desk if you want them.
You are expected to arrange that someone be at your poster to explain the work during the entire poster session. You should not use audio equipment but are welcome to bring along handouts associated with your presentation.
Posters must be taken down by close of the conference (12:45 Friday), or after the last Thursday session (6pm). Posters not removed by then will be discarded.
Please let us know if you have any questions prior to getting to Portland!
